The Amethyst Project Singers

The Amethyst Project Singers is a small group of community singers dedicated to learning and practicing the art and craft of vocal chamber music.

Through weekly drop-in workshops, the group engages in deep study of vocal technique and chamber musicianship, and offers select performances with the model of “mentored” singing – singing alongside professional vocalists and chamber musicians.

With a shared commitment to deeply understanding the music, the project singers collaboratively explore musical colors, shapes, and gestures, along with considerations of tone, tempo, and phrasing, bringing the music to life without the guidance of a formal conductor.
