The brain child of Mary Sullivan, Joelle Morris and Scott Nicolas, the Amethyst Chamber Ensemble is a professional vocal and instrumental chamber ensemble, based in Midcoast Maine.
Dedicated to the proposition that art song is for everyone, we explore all types of vocal chamber music through concert offerings that go beyond the traditional art song recital.
Programming to the gifts and passions of our artists, we offer an array of diverse solo and chamber music styles and formations.
Through workshop offerings and informal salons, as well as vocal chamber music coaching initiatives, we encourage community participation in all kinds of art and performance, and the enjoyment and support of live music.
